Jamming with Apache Spirit!
LAST WEEK: While we were out on the road, our journey brought us to the beautiful White Mountain Apache Nation (Hon-Dah Resort and Casino) and a rare chance to jam with The Apache Spirit Band at The Stanford Store! Pictured above are guitarist Matt Kane and the amazing Rhoda J. Ethelbah, and below, the founders of Apache Spirit, Midnight, Lee Kane, and Adrian Nathan. It is such a pleasure to hang with good friends and play music together when we are travelling. Thank you Apache Spirit for the hospitality and the most amazing pizza ever!!
Meet our alter-ego Crawdaddio !!
Every night is Mardis Gras when Crawdaddio is in town! Since 1978, this band brings the spirit and rhythm of the bayou to life with their driving zydeco beat. Crawdaddio has performed at festivals, clubs, and corporate events all over the country. For five years they headlined Disney’s Mardis Gras Celebration at Pleasure Island in Orlando, Florida. The band performs monthly at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen and on the Main Stage at Downtown Disney, Anaheim, CA. Crawdaddio was recently featured at the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival in 2017.
The Legendary Doo-Wah Riders are celebrating their 40th Anniversary!
Since 1978 there has been no one else like the Doo-Wah Riders. For over 40 years they have been riding their own patch of the musical range throughout the west. They possess the rare combination of many years of experience and youthful energy, fired up by a love for what they do. The Doo-Wahs are country, with a unique, original sound. Defined by their sound... "high energy country with a cajun twist", the Doo-Wah Riders' ultra-tight musicianship and powerful arrangements of classic and original songs have made them favorites everywhere they go.
This legendary band loves honky tonks as well as concert stages and prides itself in catering to each audience with a spicy personal touch.

Hangin' with David Miller in Austin!
We were treated to some fine Texas hospitality by our good friend David Miller. Since he had an extra bass fiddle or two we had a jam session on the front lawn. We love Austin, Texas! Thank you David for letting us hang out for a couple of days before The Doo-Wahs headed down to Poteet! What a blast.
Catchin' up with Ronnie Huckaby!
Had a blast with Ronnie Huckaby, visiting and swapping stories over some wonderful BBQ at Kent Black’s in San Marcos, Texas! After 35 years with the Ace in the Hole Band...he’s got a million of 'em!!
