ROAD REPORT: We have just returned from a fun-filled trip to Gilley's in Las Vegas! Treasure Island is a fantastic resort and the folks at Gilley's couldn't have been nicer. It was good and hot out there and we're happy to be back home for a few days. Coming up, The Doo-Wah Riders will be back at Downtown Disney's ESPN Zone on 5/23, and then out to the awesome Fantasy Springs Casino on 5/24. The very next day we start a 3-day run out at our old stomping grounds, The San Bernardino County Fair, May25-27. NOTE: This marks the beginning of our fundraising for the 2018 Doris Davies Memorial Bike Drive! So please keep this in-mind as the year rolls on. We can use your support guys!! And, as usual, we have lots of private gigs in-between and a weekend as Crawdaddio at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen on 5/18-19. Check out our calendar of events by clicking here...
Thank you Gilley's in Las Vegas, NV!
Meet our alter-ego Crawdaddio !!
Every night is Mardis Gras when Crawdaddio is in town! Since 1978, this band brings the spirit and rhythm of the bayou to life with their driving zydeco beat. Crawdaddio has performed at festivals, clubs, and corporate events all over the country. For five years they headlined Disney’s Mardis Gras Celebration at Pleasure Island in Orlando, Florida. The band performs monthly at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen and on the Main Stage at Downtown Disney, Anaheim, CA. Crawdaddio was recently featured at the Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Festival in 2017.
NEWS: Crawdaddio has just been booked to perform at the Long Beach Bayou Festival on 6/23! This is a 2-day family music/food festival next to the Queen Mary in Long Beach. 3 stages, a crazy crawfish eating contest, and a parade! The Legendary Doo-Wah Riders are celebrating their 40th Anniversary!
Since 1978 there has been no one else like the Doo-Wah Riders. For over 40 years they have been riding their own patch of the musical range throughout the west. They possess the rare combination of many years of experience and youthful energy, fired up by a love for what they do. The Doo-Wahs are country, with a unique, original sound. Defined by their sound... "high energy country with a cajun twist", the Doo-Wah Riders' tight musicianship and arrangements of classic and original songs have made them favorites everywhere they go.
This legendary band loves honky tonks as well as concert stages and prides itself in catering to each audience with a spicy personal touch.
A big thank you to our Sponsors!
We ran into our good friends Tina Marie and Steve Poncar in Las Vegas while rocking Gilley's on the strip. Tina Marie is a master hypnotist and has been a good friend of The Doo-Wah Riders for many years. Steve is her partner and is a fine saxophonist in his own right. Now and again we get lucky at a fair and Steve comes up and jams with us. Great friends and a great gig at Gilley's in Las Vegas!
